CADD/Engineering sign project


Students inCADD/Technology Engineering  2  were given a sign design challenge,  Part of this challenge is to design, build, reflect and access their final project. 

Process:

CADD students gone to fabricate
in metal and wood lab for two weeks
  1. Sketch
  2. Create detailed working drawings using CADD software
  3. Fabricate metal parts
  4. Fabricate wood part
  5. Finishing
  6. Vinyl cutting and application
  7. Fasteners and assembly
  8. Create as built 2D and 3Ddrawings using CAD and SolidWorks
  9. Students Submitt Journal, Reflection, and Authentic Assessment product design.
Tools:
  1. Cadd/ Graphics Computers, vinyl cutter, printers, software A+CADD, Solidworks, Photoshop, Illustrator, and SignPal
  2. Metal and Wood hand tools,
  3. Power hack saw, grinders, sanders, tig welder, drill press, band saw, surfacer, jointer, mitre saw, table saw, sand blaster,  router, sanders.
Materials:

  1. Working drawings C size (17x22)
  2. Steel
  3. Poplar
  4. Spar varnish or paint
  5. Vinyl
  6. Fastners 
    ZF,s final project

How to make a movie using an IPhone

Graphic Arts 2 Students, read the questions, watch these two video clips, and answer the following questions.

1. Name a couple of APS used in the making of the video.
2. What did it cost them to make the video?
3.Identify 3 problems that were encounted and explain how they were solved
4. What were their findings?
